A Wednesday Word for You

Good day brothers and sisters, it is indeed a pleasure to greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ from the Mount,

I want to address the query of what makes the church, The Church. It is without question that the church has been redefined throughout our various communities as a place or building to gather and worship. Let me see if I can pinpoint the true depiction of the church. The church is the preposition of the place that is within you as members of the body of Christ which congregates at the building for worship. In other words, the born-again baptized believer represents The Church that comes to the building. Hebrews 10:25 it says, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Therefore, the name stamped on the outside of the building is a presentation of what’s on the inside in that the membership defines the building, while discipleship depicts our position in Christ. Let me see if I can make this plain: when you purchase a bottle of ketchup, the label on the outside literally identifies what’s on the inside. The brand name is simply a type or source of the ketchup, which suggests that how we react and conduct ourselves determines the source and type of our faith.

Until next time, be careful how you showcase your brand. Does it represent Christ the builder of the building? Luke 6: 43-45KJV states, “For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good ; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”

Keeping you in prayer, I remain,
