You may only be someone in the world, but to someone else, you may be the world.

Wednesday’s Word from the Mount 5/6/15

May 6, 2015

Greetings brothers and sisters and welcome to another edition of Wednesday’s word from the mount.

Truly it is a blessing to be able to soak within the presence of God regardless of our situational periods. I want to take this opportunity to stress to you the importance of “letting go” of your past; while holding on to the present as you strive for what God has laid out for you in the future. Paul said it best when he testified to the church at Philippi the reality of moving forward, instead of lingering behind in the past which cannot be altered or changed. “Brethren I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before” Philippians 3:13 KJV.

Perhaps you are reading this and there is a past hurt, wound or mistake that has left you bitter instead of better. It keeps taunting and haunting you from moving forward.  I say to you, “let it go”.  You cannot go back and erase or fix the past. Therefore, “let it go” before it becomes an infection that eats away at your joy.

Until next time, be blessed and keep looking ahead for God has forgiven you so then forgive and forget the past and move forward in Jesus’ name because your best is yet to come.

In Christ,

Rev. Dr. Tony C. Person
