Special Early Edition of the Wednesday Word from the Mount in honor of Veteran’s Day

Hello brothers and sisters, I bring you greetings and salutations from “The Mount”.

Certainly, it is a privilege to be able to express the goodness and graciousness of our creator. I want to take this moment to honor those who have served or are serving within our Armed Forces present and past; who have made grave sacrifices to the point of giving their lives and limbs to protect and defend our freedom in the United States and abroad. I say to you “Happy Veteran’s Day”.

As I envision this important day that has been set aside in the archives of history, I think about Christians who are also enlisted and invited to protect the freedom of God’s word as we fight and defend those things that will war against our faith.

You do know that we have an enemy that doesn’t fight fair and therefore we need inward and outward protection. Look at what Apostle Paul commands each of us to do, found in Ephesians 6:11, “Put on the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (KJV) I say to each of you, don’t forget to prepare yourselves daily for this confrontation against demonic forces. We must be fit for the fight as soldiers in the army of the Lord. Don’t you even think about giving up and laying down! You’re in it to WIN IT! Until next time, dress yourselves and clothe yourselves daily within the security and serenity of God’s word.

Remember: ‘the battle is not yours, it’s the Lords’.

Be blessed and not stressed,
Rev. Dr. Tony C. Person
