You may only be someone in the world, but to someone else, you may be the world.

Wednesday’s Word from the Mount 11/19/14

November 19, 2014

Hello my fellow servants of Christ, I bring you greetings from the Mount:

I want to invite each of you, including our internet friends, to envision for a moment the continual presence of God.

Someone has been displaced and dismayed because of the spirit of loneliness.  I believe that loneliness is a world renowned traveler.  In fact, somewhere and at some place within our lives, we have found ourselves stuck in a distant land of darkness…and yet residing in the presence of light. In other words, you’re surrounded by those whom you love; family and friends, and still you feel the effects of being all alone where darkness has blinded your joy.

I need to tell someone that even though you’re going through some stuff and stuck in some stuff, it doesn’t mean you’re alone. You don’t have to let the vicissitudes of life stick to you when there is the assurance of help.  The writer of Hebrews assures us that we are not alone; we have help. Did not Jesus say, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee”? (Hebrews 13:5b KJV)

The reality is that he promised us he would be right there in the midst of our circumstances; holding our hands, wiping our tears and then comforting our minds to assure us of his presence and that what we’re going through is only temporary.

“This too shall pass”

Until next time, be blessed and don’t you become a victim of loneliness, but become a victor through joyousness.

Yours in Christ,

Rev. Dr. Tony C. Person
