You may only be someone in the world, but to someone else, you may be the world.

A Wednesday Word from the Mount

Brothers, sisters, saints and friends, I bring you salutations from the Mount.

I wonder, have you ever considered reviewing your life and recalling the best gift you ever received?  Perhaps it was a toy truck, a bicycle or a new vehicle, whatever the gift you received, it left an impression on the inside that you related to others on the outside.  You were elated and excited about the gift, especially during the season of Christmas.

My friend we are again embarking upon the season of Christmas to celebrate and articulate the greatest gift known to humanity; the present that God took time to wrap in eternity and then presented to humanity through the genre of Mary and Joseph, his son “Jesus the Christ”, our savior.  He is the ONLY GIFT that the world must receive in order to experience abundant life.  Therefore, during our shopping pleasure, make sure we present Jesus to those with whom we come in contact as “the reason for the season”.

Until next time, think about what you will offer to others as Christmas time approaches.  Make sure that whatever you give, you wrap it in the ribbon of God’s love.

Yours in Christ,

Rev. Dr. Tony C. Person
