A Wednesday Word from the Mount

Hello brothers and sisters, saints and friends, I bring you grace and peace from the Mount.

It is again a privilege to travel the airways of the internet to drop into your spirit a now word for those who are thirsting for assurance.  Perhaps you’re in a period of drought where things seem brittle and breakage is inevitable.  It appears that pieces of your life are scattered in every direction and it has distorted your sense of direction.  The reality is that you need a word from the Lord in this season.  I must inform you that just because you’re scattered, it doesn’t mean that it’s over. In fact you are at the place where the Lord will unveil his presence and power because he can put your life back together again piece by piece.

God wants you to live.

You do remember what happened in the valley of dry bones when God asked the Prophet Ezekiel the query concerning life, “Can these bones live?”  Ezekiel replied by saying without hesitation, “Lord, you know.”  My friend, it has come to my attention that he knew that all of us would find ourselves susceptible to breakage that will require a presentation of comfort and the assurance of love during our periods of strife and struggle.  Therefore, we must remember the reason for this season as we embark upon the historical advent, celebrating the greatest gift known to humanity – the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior.  Without him, there wouldn’t be an assurance of justification, salvation, or restoration, for he is the Christ of Christmas.

So I must conclude by urging you that in this season of giving and sharing gifts, make sure you send care packages of God’s love to everyone you meet, reassuring them that the gift of Christ is the answer to all their questions and the solution to all their problems.  He is the Christ of Christmas.

Until next time, Merry Christmas to all from the Mount,

Rev. Dr. Tony C. Person
